We’re right on the San Juan Skyway so it’s easy to access our area attractions. Learn about our history and southwestern culture by visiting the Galloping Goose Railroad Museum, the Canyons of the Ancients Visitor Center and Museum, or tour the art galleries in Dolores and Mancos. Spend an evening watching the Native American dances at the Cortez Cultural Center, or tour the world renown ancient archaeological sites at Mesa Verde National Park.

Or… simply kick back and relax! Fill your lungs with clean Colorado air and drop your worries at the front door. The Little House features inspirational views of the red and white streaked sandstone canyon cliffs, green ranch pastures and wooded hillsides. Stroll down to the river to watch the trout feeding on the latest hatch. The stone patio and small covered wood deck are your own private viewing areas as the elk and mule deer come down into the pastures at dusk, just before the setting sun paints the canyon walls in orange and gold each evening.

The Little House is a newly renovated roadside two story, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom country home, positioned on a working cattle ranch just 17 miles upriver from Dolores, Colorado. The Little House affords spectacular views of the mountains, pasture and red rock cliffs along the San Juan Skyway,

Enjoy exclusive access to 295+ acres of pristine Dolores River Valley, with 0.6 miles of river frontage, forested hillsides and red rock cliffs. Walk to private picnic areas on the ranch. You’ll have private access to National Forest land leading to Taylor and Haycamp Mesas, perfect for hiking, biking, birdwatching, and wildlife viewing. Don’t forget your camera!

The Little House has beamed ceilings, a tiled entryway, a fireplace with wood burning insert, a sofa, 2 love seats, and a dining area.

The Master Bedroom has a Queen bed, a dresser with mirror, a nightstand and closet, and a large window looking out to the barn, pasture and mountains. The Master bath has a full size tub/shower with a south facing window that brings in nice natural light. 

There are two bedrooms upstairs. One bedroom has two twin beds and a nightstand/storage for extra blankets, etc., with a small window facing west. The other upstairs bedroom has one twin bed, a desk with a chair and side table, with a small window facing east. There is a small half bath located upstairs.

The guest bath is located between the living/dining area and kitchen and features a full tub/shower with a small north facing window.

The two smaller bedrooms (one with two twin beds and the other with a single twin bed) plus 1/2 bath are located upstairs and each have an electric heater if needed.

The kitchen has a propane range, side-by-side refrigerator freezer, microwave, coffee pot and toaster. There is also an electric toaster oven if that is preferred. There is a small dining table and chairs located in the kitchen area while the dining area seats up to six guests. The utility room has a front-load washer and electric dryer. A hair dryer, iron and ironing board will also be provided.

A covered wood front entry deck acts as a weather shield and ensures that firewood remains dry. A rear stone natural patio provides the outdoor stage for viewing wildlife in the pasture, with timbered hillsides and red cliffs as a backdrop. A small, covered wood deck off of the utility mud room provides a more private viewing area.

The Little House is equipped with carbon monoxide detectors, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, and a first aid kit. This rental is thoroughly disinfected and sanitized prior to your arrival.

Redburn Flying R Ranch is a working ranch with horses, cattle and dogs. Please be aware of these animals and treat them with respect.

Primary renter must be age 21 or over. No pets.

50% of booking total is required up front, with balance due 30 days before arrival, collected automatically from your payment method. Cleaning fee of $150 per stay is added to your booking.

Guest receives 80.00% if cancellation occurs at least 15 days before arrival; No refunds within 15 days of arrival.

Check-in is 3:00 pm; check-out is 11:00 am. A keypad is available 24 hours a day to provide entry; a keypad code will be given to you upon arrival.
